North Andover Historical Commission Minutes
Meeting of November 18, 2019
I. All members present
II. Minutes accepted
III..Don Slater from Phillips Academy gave a report to the Commission about the Phillips Student
Research Project which he has been leading since last year at The Old Burying Ground. The report was
comprehensive and interesting. Dr. Slater and his student group also gave a public presentation about
the project at the Historical Society.
IV. 136 Salem Street...no word on projected demolition.
V. Jay Dowd and Jim Wefers will be in charge of removing OBG fragments to the Parson Barnard Barn
for safekeeping.
Vi.C.J. Gangi is the NAHC representative on the Town Committee now organized to discuss the future of
the Stevens .state.
VII. Carol Majahad provided information about new pans for the Caroline Stevens Rogers building in the
Old Center.
NEXT NAHC MEETING WILL BE TUESDAY, JANUARY 21,2020 AT 4PM AT TOWN HALL.
