Community Preservation Committee
Minutes of September 14, 2017
Present: John Simons, Terrance Holland, Albert Fowler, CJ Gangi, Deborah Feltovic William
Callahan, Mary Beth Soucy
Absent: Tracy Watson
John Simons called the meeting to order at 7:03PM in the Town Hall Conference Room 1
meeting room at Town Hall.
Introduction
John Simons introduced new members and gave a brief background about the Community
Preservation Committee. 10% is designated to each area communitypreservation.org.
Applications
Deborah Feltovic talked about when the applications come in. Mr. Simons spoke about the past
and present applications and approvals. Marybeth Sousy spoke about past projects and what the
benefits are to the Town. Themes for this year are:
1) Better accountability
2) Foster accountability
3) Communicating with the Town about what the CPC does
Additional notes from the meeting:
1) Ask Chris McClure to attend the next meeting
2) Ms. Feltovic spoke about the need for the grant agreement
3) Discussion on having a project closure meeting
4) Send grant to Suzanne
5) January/February meeting at Stevens Estate
6) Hold public meeting in the Board of Selectmen’s room
7) Have some prior applicants/projects come to the next meeting
8) Send form (application) to the CPC members via email and in next package
Update on Housing Authority
Ms. Sousy gave an update on the Housing Authority.
