EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Executive Session convened at 6:30PM
ATTENDANCE: The following were present: Chairman Richard Vaillancourt, Clerk Rosemary Smedile,
Licensing Chairman, Regina Kean, Chris Nobile, Phil DeCologero, Town Manager, Melissa Murphy
Rodrigues and Director of Administrative Services, Laurie Burzlaff.
Executive session-M.G.L. Chapter 30A. §21(a)(3)-to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining
(AFSME Professional Librarians and Clerical)
The Town Manager, Melissa Rodrigues, reviewed the proposed changes to the contract for the
Professional Librarians and the Clerical staff. Contracts are very similar. Salary increases remain
consistent with other unions. The library will be closed the day after Thanksgiving. Currently this is the
only non-public safety department that is open on that day. Clerical staff will not be required to stay at
board meetings after 10:OOPM.
ADJOURNMENT:
Rosemary Smedile made a MOTION, seconded by Regina Kean, to move out of executive session
and back into open session at 7:OOPM. Roll call vote:Kean-yes, Nobile-yes, Smedile-yes,
Vaillancourt-yes, DeCologero-yes. Motion approved 5-0.
