Attendees:

Adrienne Goldman, Pranali Asharo—all members of NASC. Selectperson Laura Bates, North Andover
Director of Community and Economic Development Andrew Shapiro, North Andover Assessor Bill Mitchell
and Wendy O'Malley, Dan Morais, Rob Anderson all of Mass Development.
Opening of meeting with Chair Andrew Mitchell.
• Presentation from Mass Development about the National Property Assessed Clean Energy(PACE)
Program. Possibility of North Andover adopting this program in order to give our commercial properties
the opportunity to take advantage of this program that will promote clean energy. Possibility of Town
bringing proposal to the Board of Selectmen.
• Examples given in power point presentation of Towns that have adopted this, examples of projects
completed in other states,the ways it could work with a variety of businesses including developers,
manufacturers, non-profits, banks and municipalities. Q&A with Mass Development.
• Next the committee talked about planning for the annual Earth Day Cleanup. Potential dates,times,
locations, advertisement, ideas for promotion and possibility of textile drop, composter sales,
composting information,shredding, e-cycling drop offs.
• Touched on RDP points for this year. No changes made to MADEP requirements for June 2021
deadline.
• Touched on coordination with North Andover Improvement Society to celebrate the 375'anniversary
of the Andovers and possibility of more involvement between committees.
• Touched on tree planting initiative with Andover High School. Pranali is organizing one for North
Andover and we are going to promote it.
• Overall talk about making sure our website is updated as well as our email lists. Talk of next meeting
voting on date of Cleanup.
