Call meeting to order.
Attendees:Alvin Pimentel, Jessica Pimentel, Andrew Mitchell, Joanna O'Connell, Kim Pass,
Konthi Sattiraju, Greg Moschetti, Brian Keating, Ellen Van Arsdale, Kevin Dube.
Discussion of Green Team Junk Removal event for this March or April. Thoughts about volunteers and
dates. Discussion of success of last event on 10/22/22 at NAHS. Unsure if we will be able to find a date
and have the manpower to do this event this spring.
Update on Plastic Bag Restriction Initiative. Warrant to be send by the Citizens Group to be put on Town
Meeting on Tuesday May 16, 2023. Two presentations will be given by Citizens Group, one this
upcoming Saturday at the NA library and the other on zoom. Discussed initiative with the group and
how the majority of our committee members are in support of this. Promoting reusable bags most
important from our committee's standpoint.
Green Schools update—Joanna—success so far in rolling out program in 6 out of 8 schools. Rolling out
Kittredge next. Then ABECC. Thoughts about asking Bootstrap or Black Earth to come to an upcoming
meeting to discuss curbside compost program potential in NA.
Town Wide cleanup—date proposed April 23 from 10a-2p. Need to get DPW approval and order more
supplies. Kim reserving NAMS for the event. Thoughts about Baystate Textiles and Revision Energy
coming to cleanup.
Rain barrel program and compost bin sales—both upcoming and the goal is to have both programs up
and running in early spring. Discussion of having a composter at the cleanup and how residents can go
to DPW to get a composter rather than NASC member delivering them as in the past.
RDP Grant-touching on textiles, equality point and NACAM bilingual presentation.
