The Board then proceeded to discuss and vote on the hearings held this evening.
1. FIRST METHODIST CHURCH and others.
The Board members felt that an opinion should be requested from the Town
Counsel and then call a special meeting to act upon the application.
2~ BEN OSGOOD
Mr. O'Leary made a motion to DENY the request; seconded by Mr. Scott and
voted unanimously. The reasons are: The applicant will suffer no hardship,
financial or otherwise; there would be a traffic problem that would arise on
the narrow Farnum Street and other streets in the area; and the inconvenience
to and the safety of all residents in the neighborhood.
3. RALPH BEVIN:
Mr. O'Leary made a motion to GRANT the variance; Mr. Leonard seconded the
motion and the vote was unanimous. The applicant would suffer substantial hard-
ship.
