HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-05-28 May 28, 19%1 Meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 8-.00 P.M. in,the Town Building. This was a special Public ~earing. ~embers present ~ Chairman, G~egory Mooradkanian, Secretary, Richard G. Whipple, Andrew E. Alvino and associate members, James J. Regan and Sam.DiMauro. Application of James Yelverton was considered. Mr. Yelverton was present and informed the Board that there was no change in his business since his original application. There was no apposition to this application and a motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to grant the non-conforming use variance for another ye.~. Application of Fred Aziz was considered. Mr. Aziz was present and when questioned by the Board as to the distance from the street at which his stand was located, he informed them that it was 9' from the road and that it would not be possible to move it ar~ further back. There was no other opposition to this application and a motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to grant the permit for another year. Application of Ira Goodhue reuqesting a variance so as to permit the erection and maintenance of a roadside stand at ~1 Boston Street was presented to the Board. Mr. Goodhue explained to the Board that he would like to dispose of farm produce grown on the premises at a road- side stand located on his property. He also stated that the stand would be more than 30 feet from the road and that .there would be ample space for parking. A plan was filed with the Board. After discussion on this matter, a motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to grant Mr. ~odhue the permit for ~he stand on a yearly basis and that this permit would be subject to renewal by the Board on or before May 28, 1952. Motion was made and seconded and it was VOTED to adjourn the ~eeting at 9:25 P.M.
