This was a Public Hearing, Members present~ Ol'm'~rman~ ~regory Mooradkanian, Secretary, Richard G, ~hipple~ Andrew Alvino~ Henry E. Lund ~ Peter Ritchie and Associate ~ember Sam D'~Uauro. Application was received frc~ Sal~ Eah~ajy~ 90 Main Street, requesting the ~ewal of a n~n-conform~g use permit far the continuance of the use of the premises ~t 9' Lincoln Street, for a General Variety Store. Original permit was issued ~,~tt Shea and transferred to ~resent owner on .~c~o~ Ber 9~ 19%0 and renewed for another year on Ma~ 14, 1951. There was no objection to the renewal of this permit, Mrs, EahwaJy was present and stated that there had been no changes made and that she wished to continue this business and askes for renewal for another year, .Motion was then m~de and seconded and it was unanimously VOTED to gra~% ~mis non- conforming use for another year, Application was received frc~ s J. Emiee~ 1001 Salem T~trntxike requesting the renewal of a non-conforming use permit for the contimaed use and maintenance of a roadside stand for the sale of! vegetables and fruits which are produced on the premises, Original permit was granted Dec. 13~ 1948. There was no objection to ~he renewal of this per~ite Mr. Emiec was present and stated that there had been no changes made at this stand and that he would ~e to renew his pe~i% for another year, Motion was made and seconded and it was' unanimously VOTED to grant ~his non-conforming use p.er~ t for ~other year, Application was received fr°4 F~ances amd Ir~ ~ Goo~hne,. 91 Boston Street for the renewal of a non-conforming use per,it for the continued use and mainten_~nce of a roadside stand for the idsposal of far~ produce and the ~tcrage of same, O~iginal permit was granted Ma~ 28, 1951e There was no objection to the granting of a renewal of this permit, Mr, & Mrs. ~mdhue were present anf stated that they would like to C°nti~Ae to se~..their produce at this stand: Motion was ~ade and seconded and it was ~-~-ously VOTED to renew the permit for another, year. Application was received from Ja~es J. Yelverton requesting the renewal of a non- oonfo~=ing use permit for an icecre~= stan~ at 1072 Tu~-,~ike Street, Original per- · it was granted on Jul~ 21, 19~8. There was no objection to the renewal of this permit, Mr. Yelverton was present and he stated that his son was using part of his land. for the purpose of raising turkeys, When ~Iuestioned, he admitted that some of these turkeys had been sold from the stand. He was advised by the Board that his per~t covered the sale of ice c~eam or~ and that if the sale of turkeys was being made at the stand, the pe. rmit wo~ld ~e re-yoked. He was also advised that it was permissible to raise the turkeys o~ his land since it is in an agricultural area~ but that they must not be sold from the stand. Mr. Yelverton agreed that +_h~e would not continue and that he would onl~ s ell the ice Motion was then ~ade and seconded and it was unanimously VOTED 'to ~ant the permit for another year for the sale of ice cream only.
