Cyr, requesting a variance of the Zoning Law to permit ten foot ~ide yards on a ~-o% locate~d at llP ~tgh Street. Mr. Oyr stated that when he applied for his building permits it had not Been planned te have a~ ~tside steps on this building which was built only. recently and that they had observed the 15 fcc% requirement. , ~owever, due to the slope of the lands it was necessary to do some grading and it then Became necessary to have two small open porches on slither side of the house. These porches are five feet wide and because of this fact it has Become necessary to appl~ for the variance. ~e also explained that this was an old Iot which had Been recorded long Before Zoning was effective. Mr. Augustine Langtrys 113 Righ street, abutter on one side was present sad ebjecting %c this variance. ~ stated that the gutters on this house are at the back of the house and that all the water from Mr. CyrUs lot drains e~ hie pr. perry and he stated thathe had a retaining wa]_l there which he was very roach afraid would be undermined in the very near future if this continued, He stated that the water runs down between the tee houses and with the recent heavy rains it was quite objectionable. ~e stated that he left for work one morning and only the floor on the foundation was done but when he returned at night the whole house was up. He stated that he had asked Mr, Cyr to do. son, thing about this but had been ignorede He stated that all builders should be made to live up to the build~8 laws. Mr. Leo Boulanger, 127 High Street, abutter on the other side stated ~that · Mr. C2~ had raised the l~-d up when he built the ho~use, Previa. usl~ it was even with both adJoini4g lots, With this grading higher than the next ~o lots ~he water from the Cyr propert~ drains on the a.tmt~ proper~ ~n both sides. A motion was made by Mr. Ritchies seconde.d by Mr. Alv~a~ and it was unanimously votedt~ take this matter under advisements
