Members presemt: Henry ~.uad, Acting Chairman, Xe~-eth Terroux, Da-~el 0~Leary, Alfred Boeglin, Associate Member, Bo"edict Porte,e, Associate Member; J, mas Pan,a, amd Robert J. Burke of tha Plan,~ Beard. M~.. Nicetta arrived later, but did not vote ~n a~ matters. Nr. Anthcmy Abate, 27 Ca, mt Rd., Methaen, Mass. w~uld ~e to split the presemt let, which contains 190 feet, in ~e~*, which would result in ~ 95 feet fremtage lots. The lot frontage now conta~s 190 feet. These lots are at 47 and 55 l~k Street. He plans to erect two single f=m~ly dwellings om this lamd. Attorney Schwartz, rePresenting Mr. Abate, explained that the desired 95 foot fromtage on each lot would leave a shortage of only 4.9 feet on the street fX~mt, i~ the other measurements of the lots meet the requirements of the Zo~wg By-~aw. Mr. and Mrs. John Cu~h~n8 are recorded as opposed to allowing the shortage, saying that the houses would be too close together. Mr. Terroux made a motion, seconded by Mr. O~Leary, to take the matter under advisement. The motion was unanimously ca~:-.~led by the Board. Mr. George Caron appeared before the Board requestiug a variatima in the Or'd-a-ce so as to permtt an addition to the rear of an existing building at 30 Main Street. Mr. DeMeuro, Mrs. Willis and John Willis are recorded as being in favor of the addition. Mr. Boeglin made a motion, seconded by Mr. O'Leary, to take the matter under advisement. The metiom was ,insidiously carried by the Board. The petition of Faith Meagan was then discussed by the Board members. There was no one present to represent her. She desires a subdivisio~ of a lot of laud at 48-50 Water St. in order that it may be sold. It is understood that Davis & Furber Machine Co. has made an offer to purchase the land, which is app~o~,~tely ~/:-,000 sq. ft. Mr. Beeg~n m~de a motion, seconded by :Mr. Terrou~, to take the matter under advisement. The motion was unanimously carried by the Board. Mr. Lund made a motion to gr~_nt the petition to Mr. Anthony Abate, which was ~,,~--~;ly carried by the Board. M~tion was made by Mr. O'Leary seconded by Mr. Terroux and unani~ caA~:ied by the Board that the petition of George Cares be accepted subject to receiving proper plains. A letter w~ be sent ~*orm~ Mr. Caren of the decision. Mr. Perroue w~de a motion, seconded by Mr. Booglin to accept the petition of Faith Meagau. It was unanimously carried by the Board.
