O'Leary, Chairman, Be~ry Lund, Howard Gil~-~ and Associate Member Nar~ld Morley ~r. The meett~g was called to order at 7:55 PM. 1st hearing; Salvatore D'Agata, 231 WaVerley Road requested a variance cf Section 4 Paragraph 4;11 of the Zoning By Law so as to permit the remodeling of the second floor t~ament into two tenaments making three tem~ments in a11. Ralph Brasseur apPeared 'for the PetitiOner and stated the floor requirementS meet the requirements of the BY Laws and that Mr, D'Agata wanted to make the Change to create additional rental housing and to increase the income of the property. Attorney 'EdWard NantOski apPeared for Mr,. and Mrs, JOhn Clark, abbvter, s, and stated if this were a change becaUse of f~cial hardshiP he felt the apposition would change their objection. Mr. D'Agata would not state whether this was a f~anoial hardship. Mr. Nanteski asked Mr, D'Agata if he was aware'of the character of the neighborhood and Mr. D'AgatA stated he had a permit fOr a two family home and that was the type house he built. T~omas Ndlkinson, 216 WaverleY Road, opposed this petition aS he felt the BY Law shouldnot be changed in order to increase the income of a single person. Mrs. ~obm Clark presented a petition signed by 36 neighbors opposing the variance. Mr. BrasSeur stated people will sign a ~etition out of friendship and felt the Board should not take notice of this petition. Mr, O~LearY read'the names of the people on the petition to see the number present at the heari~. Seven were present. Mr. Gi~m~ moved to take the m_-.tter under advisement. Mr. Lund seconded the motion. U~,~'l.mous vote. 2nd hearing. ~Aliee CavallarO requested a variance to permit the conversion of her home at 70 Naple Avenue into a three family home. Ralph Brasseur appeared for the Petitioner and stated the~e would be no structural ch~-~e on the outside of the home. It was pointed out Mrs. Cavallaro needs the the additional income 'because the maintenance of the property at the present time is an extreme hardship. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Allison, abbuters, appeared for the petition in favor of the change. Thewe was no opposition. Mr. Gilman moved to take the' matter under advisement. Mr. Lund seconded the motion. Unanimous vete. ~ discussion was held on the two hearings by the Board and both petitions were found to be in accordance with the By Laws. Mr. Gilman moved to grant the Yariance to Mr. 'D'Agata if the addition is built according to the plans submitted to the Board. Mr. Lund seconded the motion. Unanimous vote. Mr. Gtlma~ moved to grant the Variance to MrS. Oavallare if the additio~ is built according to the plans submitted to theBoard. Unanimous vote. Bills were signed for Nary Doherty- Services Rendered M. Doherty or D. Cahill - Postage Mr. Lurid seconded ~he motion. 17, 50 8,00 25.50 Mr. Gilman moved the meeting adjourn at 9:30 PM.
