The Board hold a special meeting on this date with all mombors present: Charlos A. Salisbury,
Chairman, John W. Graham, Christine M. Smith, Kenneth C. Crouch, Ramsey A. Bahrawy.
Town ManagerSearch Consultant
The Baord met with Richard Bennott, independent consultant working through tho Mass. Municipal
Association. Mr. Bennett gave a prosentation on the services he could offer for the Town Mgr.
screening/recruitment process, not to exceed $4,000 at $75/hr. plus expenses, which would be
payable .to the MMA. The Board voted unanimously to request that Mr. Bennett assist with
negotiating a contract with the final candidate and to hire a temporary executive as
soon as possible. The Board also voted 4-1(Bahrawy opposed) to authorize Mr. Bennett to
a proposal for recruitment for the Board's approval. Relative to the advertising campaign for
the second round, the Board voted unanimously to establish a deadline of August 29. The Board
furthor voted 4-1(Bahrawy opposed) to advertise in the Sunday Globe and New York Times, as well
as the ICMA newsletter, and to receive applications after August 29th if postparked August 29.
Guy RichardsPro_~-lst Refusal Option
The Board took up consideration of the Town's right of first refusal option concerning land
for sale by Guy Richards located on Turnpike St. Based on the recommendation of the
Commission not to purchase this property as it is a low priority for acquisition of
land, the Board voted unanimously not to exercise the Town's option under MGL C.61
Re-establishment of North Andovor/Boxford Veterans District
The Board votod unanimously to accept the Town of Boxford back into a regional veterans
services district in the event its Board of Selectmen voted to rejoin with North Andover.
Amended Plan to Old Center Parkin8 Lot
Pursuant to the recommendation of the Town Planner, the Board voted unanimously to approve the
amendments to the parking lot plan agreed upon by the Old Center Parking Lot Committee.
