The warrant and minutes were approved as submitted. · PC~E IOCATION: Nearing.was held on petition to install tw~ peles on Lacy Street, £rom approximately ~§ feet south of Forest Street, southerly, Installatiom approved after, discussion with abutters and J. E. Casey, Hight' of Way Agent for New Esgla~d Tel. & Tel~ Co. Casey wLll consult with Bud ¢2r ~ao intencts to do work on Lacy Street. ' P~BLIC HEARING: Notice of public hearing and meeting of the Essex County Advisory Board, Saturday, Narch 12, 9:30 A.N. Peabody City Hall. Designee to be appointed to serve on Board. SENATOR POLLARD MEETING: The Board confirmed a. meeting for the to%mspcople to meet Senator Pollard on TUeeday, at 7:30 P-=; .to 10 p.m. in the to~m hall meeting room, Senator PoLlard will be present to answer questions-and discuss to~m matters. WAVEPAY ROAD: The Board signed a petition to lay out Waverly Road by relocating and redetexm~'~ing the 1°ca. tion of the existing street lines which are presently vague, indistinct and difficult to a certain. Petition and copy of vote taken at $p.ecial Town Meeting will be sent to James Carlin, County'Engineer. . . Letter received from the Planning Board stated that with referee to the Tref~lgar~ Subdivision, T. J. Flatley, developer, that the Planning Board had been informed that wi21 be made aveilable to the Town for work to be done om the Beck~;s P~nd. area.. The ments ~ be under'the supervision of the Highway Surveyor. Selectmau Guthrie stated that he would like to .be advised, spsoifica~ly, ,hat improvements will be done. The wax~ut was opened at 8:0% p.m. The above-roamed Articles ware included with two articles from the Selectmen. Warrant was closed at 8:3% p.m. CYR-SNOW P~NOVAL: ~ T'etter from Bud Oyr received stating that he had approximately' $2,000 left in his snow. ' n~ac~ Acvxsory m~rd for an additional sum of. $1~,000 for possible CE~A POSITIONS: : Letters received at Selectmen.s request from department head listing positions to be from OETA Manpower Program. To be advertised. ARCHIVIST :' Letter from Assistant Archivist, Tom Nofford, requested permission to destroy old State imoke that were obsolete and deterioted, having been stored in the Town Farm barm for years. It would'leave space for valuable, historic data. Selectmen requested Mofford to list material to be disposed of, get apprOval of Town Clerk, and make copy of list for the S.electman. VETERANS SALAE~: Letter received from the Advisory Board advised the Board of their position relative to the salary of the District Veterans Agent. They stated that, in view of the reduced amount of ..work in the Veterans Agant position, it was their opinion that the salary should be decreased or held the same, rather than increased. The Selectmen accepted'the letter'for'the ~Ale. DANAGE CLAIM: Car damage claim submitted by George Dela~o.
