POLE LOCATIONS: Approved: Installation of 12 poles on Winter St. and 15 .poles on Lacy St. (remove 4 poles) PUBLIC WORKS CO~PACT: The above-named contract was signed by the Selectmen and officers of the Public .Works Union, for the years 1977 - 1979. FREE CASH: Notice of amount of "Free Cash" as of July 1, 1977 for town, $39,439.00. ~T. 125 TRAFFIC: : Letter from Sherma~ Eidleman advised the 'Board that the town's request for a traffic, warning beacon was denied because their investigations found that there was adequate sight distance approaching this intersection. The present speed limit should be enforced within, this en- tire area. Request to move Stop sign located on the east side of M~side Read is mot possible due to the design of the intersection. Addition al Stop sign ~dll :be placed to the left of the intersection and a Stop line ~ be painted at this location. requested is the town's responsibility, net the State's. George, advised the Board that the operating and main' tenance balamc~ for fiscal year, 1977, is $210,323.
