McEvoy presiding. The w~rrant ar~ minutes were approved as submitted. C~MPION HALL: Citizens of the town appeared before the Board and presented a petition to the Selectmen to call a Special Town Maeting.~ Matter was placed in pending until next meeting to ~ow Town Counsel to review petition. Brian mo e names for appointment to am Ad Hoc Study Co~,~.~ttee. POLE IDCATIO~: : Petitions received for intallation of poles on Lacy St. and Su21ivan and Boston Streets. Hearing set for September 26, 1977, at 7:30 p.m. GAS E~DAVATION: Approved: Petition to excavate on Mablin Avenue to inst~11 gas services. STOP SIGN: Request received for intallation of a Stop sign, intersection of Marbleridge Nd. and Abbobt Streets. Also received, a request for a one way street restriction on the Cozm~n. Both re- quests referred to Chief Lawlor for his recommendations. RESIGNATIONS: Letter. from Nicholas E~angelos contained his resignation as a member of the Recreation Council. Note from Wi2.liam H. APPOINTMENTS: The Board of Selectmen voted to make the following appointments: Joseph' R. Hsmman - Auxiliary Policeman/Special Officer Jean Emmett - Reserve School Crossing Guard 'Agnes Foulds - Inspector - Precinct III 3R. LAWRENCE SANITARY DISTE~CT: (Request of Civil Defense Director) (Request of Police Chief Lawlor..[ (To fill vacancy) Francis J. Dowd, Office Ngr. of the above-named District sent a financial statement for the current fical period which showed the town's share of the District's Capital Costs and Operating Cests. Total - $285,339.94. Copy sent to the Town Treasurer and the Advisory Board. CONT PACT: CSntract submitte-~or the fiscal year by the Elder Services of the ~rrimack Valley, Inc. The Board voted to execute same. Selectman Guthrie stated that the services are excellent and needed very much. CONCILIATION BOARD: Notice received from Board of Conciliation and Arbitration' re hearing for North Andover Police. Notice will be sent to Atty. Ford requesting the names of three designees and to also request that he continue to represent the Board~of Selectmen. DATA PROCESSING BID: !The Selectmen voted to awardthe bid for computer services to Arlington Trust Company. A letter iwill be sent to Eugene P. Winters, Jr., Manager Customer Services of the Arlington Trust Computer Center, requesting that they proceed immediately with the implementation of the system for the 'Tax Collector due to the extremely, tight time schedule. He was also advised that some revisions would be made in the contract form and would be completed by October 5th. Selectman Guthrie stated that the Board make sure at the next Town Meeting an Article be submitted to carry over money for a continued contract. Selectm~n Coady made motion to award bid to Arlington Trust Co. until June 30, 1978 and Selectman Guthrie seconded .the motion.
