Gayten Osgood appeared before the Board and stated that 'the DeD~rtmcnt of Corm~erce suooorts

industry in the area...that thverhi!l is the core of the re~m:,on. There is no ~j~aro~tee thnt

high: in this -,,rea. He stated that the Pio.nning Board h~d not used 60 hours, available that
must be u~ed up by June 1st. Board voted to author, se Gayton to ask the Plomm_ing Board for
the 60 hours if 'they are not going to use it.

Several residents appeared once again vez? upset about the heavy truck traffic on ~.b, rb!e-
head Street. They said that the Selectmen .hadn't accomnlished o~ything in 'the last three
years to a!~ e-*late the ~dangerbus situntion...d~_ngerous b~cause the street :.ms nzrro~.r ~
many children :.~ere residing there. One resident stated that if his crmild 'aas lc~Lled' that
he :.~uld bl~?.e the Board for her death. He stated that they didn't even have ~J Go Slo~.~-
Children signs on the street. Selectm~n Salisbu~ s~ested lowering tho uoeed l~.mit~ to
inst~]l signs at 15 nph. It ~,ms stated that this ~.~ou!d not stop the traff~_~ speed. They
~.~ere advised t~=t the Select~en had gone to the DP, f~ had meetings at the site~ but ~..rere

req~sting a fuji investigation and report of the ~olatien but~ to ~t% had received no
f~her correspondence on the ~tter. Soa~ voted to ?~te~ once more~ ~ letter to the
~ding Inspector requesting ~ report.
