Sanitary District: The expense of this purchase would be taken from remaining construction funds. Selectman Guthrie objected to this project..said the participating communities should have been consulted before proceeding on this project. Requested Town CouRsel to advise if the Sanitary District has the legal right to use construc- tion funds for this purpose. Unanimous vote~t~oask Sanitary District for an explanation. Voted that a representative from Gr. Law. Sanitary District before Board at next meeting to explain above-named proposal. STREET LIGHTING: Ben Casey~ 300 Summer Street -Voted to table. Selectman Graham requested a criteria ~r ground rules on street light installations. Selectman Salisbury motioned that a list of streets with no lights be compi%ed. Vote ~nanimous. High Street-McQuestian request: It was voted to convert bug li§hts on High. Street to Mercury Vapor lights. Prospect,St., HiKhland View Rd,'Columbia Rd.,Troy Rd., Irvin~ Rd. Voted to convert bug lights to mercury Vapor ligh=s at all intersections named and' all lights on Prospect Street. Replace bug lights on Thorndike Rd, Irving Rd. and Columbia Rd. ' · Perle¥ Road - $800 light be taken out. Rock Rd. - Voted to have lightlinstalled at the intersection of Rock Road and'Chickering Rd.(Rt. 125) FIREFIGHTER'S ARBITRATION: Communication received from ~ohnVan N. Dorr III awarded a decision in fAvo~ of the grievants, Lieutenants Ron~ld Fountain and William Dolan, and ordered. the town to pay a total of $5,385.80. After a discussion with Town Counsel; the Selectmen voted to appeal the decision.
