The ~arra~t was approved. Minutes to be approved at a later date when Selectman Di- Fruscio could be present. ,, POLE OWNERSHIP: .~ The Selectmen approved Mass. Electric petition for permission to change~an existing pole on Chickering Road from "Sole Owned Light" to"Joint owned" , with New England Tel. & Tel. Co. POLE PETITION: Petition from Mass. Electric and New England Tel. & Tel. to replace, a pol~ received. Approval tabled until additional information received,. request of Selectman Graham. · RES IGNATION: Letter of resignation received, with regret, from 'James Gordon wh6 resigned from the Industrial Development Finance Authority. Letter to be sent.ex- pressing appreciation and thanks for his services. · INVITATIONS: Invitation received from the V.F.W. Post 2104 to participate in the'annual installation of officers on May 31st and the Memorial Day parade and, robser- vances, May 26th. Parade will form at the Middle School aC 9:30 A.M.-. and,: proceed to the Ridgewood Cemetery for Memorial Day exercises. In the'event of rain, excercises will be held in the Middle School auditorium. When asked, they both stated they, wished- to be reappointed to the Commission.. :.~ ,,, .,,,_. POLICE SERGEANT: From 8:15 to 8:~5 p.m., the Selectmen interviewed Thomas J. Giaquint.a, John M. Davis and Maurice F. Lynch for the position of permanent ~o!ice; §ergeant., All three have passed the Civil Service exam. The Board will meet on June 2-16-3,0~.., July 1~+-28...August 11-25...and September 8. It will be so posted. Police Officer required. James Greeley, May 16, .Merrimack College, Senior ClassLuncheon. Approved: 1-day beer license, May 18, Sheep Shearing Day, on the Old Co,~,on for V.F.W. % Frank Dushame. Chairman Joyce brought up the matter of ~wo liquor violations...selling to minors. Selectman Salisbury suggested that on a first offense, a warnin~ should be given.
