SHARPER*S POND LAND-TAKING: The Board voted to authorize Town Counsel to employ Mr. El~nn as an appraiser for the Sharpener,S Pond Road ].and-taking cases. '~" ' ' CHESTNUT STREET TRUCK EXCLUSION: The Selectmen approved the letter and data requesting the DPW to approve a Heavy Commercial VehiCle Exclusion for a portion of Chestnut Street and tion that numerous children had to walk/~ ~e n~rrow road witho~t'Si~e~alR$. It was so voted. SENIO~;C~NTER FURNISHING GRANT: '::' '~' " The Selectmen authorized the Chairman to si~n the grant application,in the amount of $10,000 for furnishings in the new Senior Center to be bUiItl LOUIS KMIEC: Louis Kmiec appeared beforethe Board and advised that both the .,'Fire.~and Police Chief had approved the closing off of Second Street from 5:30 P.M. on October 24th for the grand opening of the new stores. It was unanimously voted that the requestbe granted. APPOINTMENT-HAZARDOUS WASTE COORDINATOR: .~. ,~'.:::<:~'k William Dolan was appointed as the Hazardous Waste Coordinator to assist, the ire Chief.
