ESTIMATE--DEPT. OF PUBLIC WORKS: An ~stimate of Work Done on Contract" was received from the Mass. Dept. of Public Works in the amount of $1,976.40, Contract No. 1939I, to be paid to the contractor, E. V. DelDuca Construction Co. Mr. Sutcltffe motioned that the amount be paid, seconded by Mr. Finneran, and voted unanimously. CHAPTER90 ALLOTMENTS - 1961: Amounts for the tentstive 1961 Chapter 90 allotments for the Town were received from the Commissioner of Public Works, as follows: Appleton Street and Salem Street Maintenance COD, INCORPORATED: State Town ~ $2o ooo $1o,ooo 1,000 2,O00 --- Richard F. Holmes and others have applied for incorporation under the name of COD. Incorporated, to the Secretary of ~he Commonwealth. Upon motion of Mr. Finnersn, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe. and voted unanimously, the matter of investigation was referred to Chief Lawlor before approval. D.P.U. AND B. & M. RAILROAD: A notice of a public hearing was received from the Mass. Dept. of Public Utilities regarding discontinuance of the operation of four trains and s similar no~ice and letter from the Boston &Maine Railroad. After due discussion as to whether or not this will affect residents of North Andover, upon motion of Mr. Finnersn, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe, it was vOted unanimously to write to the Depar~menm of Publi~ Utilities to state that if it should affect residents of North Andcwer in an adverse manner, this Board would be in opposition to proposed changes. .MERRIMACK-ESSEX EV~ECTRIC C0.: A letter was received from Merrimack-Essex Electric Co. whereby a 3500 lumen light has been installed on ~cademy Road and a 3500 lumen light has been installed at the corner of Church and Cross Streets to replace a 1000 lumen unit. RELOCATIONOFMARBL~HEAD ST.: Ralph B. Brasseur~ C.E. submitted a report after his recent examination of plans submitted by the Dept. of Public Works. Ne stated that it would seem that the proposed~chenge should be ssttsfactory with the possible exception Of the curve at the intersection of the northerly line of Belmont Street with the easterly line of the propose~ relocation of Marblehead Street, which should be increased in radius from 12 feet to a minimum of 20 feet. Mr. Sutcliffe motioned, seconded by Mr. Finneran, and voted unanimously, to send the letter to the Chief Engineer of the D.P.W. (¢ET) February 4, 1961: tUpon motion of Mr. Finneran, seconded by Mr. Sutcliffe, it was voted unanimously o adjourn at 7:50 p.m. A State of Emergency for Snow Removal was declared at 8:30 a.m. February 6, 1961 The Board of Selectmen met on this date with all members present and Chairman Finck presiding. HEARING: Joint Pole Location A hearing was held on the petition of the New Englend Telephone and Telegraph Company and Merrimack-EssexElectric Company for joint or identical pole loca- tions: Elmwood Street, opposite Msblin Street, 1 pole. Upon motion of Mr. Sutcliffe, seconded by Mr. Finz~ra~, it was vOted unanimously to approve said petition. CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION: An application of Elizabeth G.
