Also on Massachusetts Avenue at Beacon Mill Boulevard/ In the vicinity of Joe's Diner, Osgood St., and in the vicinity of Mr. Daniel Olenio, 52 Clark St., North Andover. Merrimack-Essex Electric Co. and New England Tel. & Tel. Co.: The Board-~d to grant permission for installation of 8joint poleson Forest Street. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M. Alice M. Letarte, Secretary. Clerk NOVEMBER 13, 1961. The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date at 7:30 P.M. with all members present and Chairman Finneran presiding. Lawrence Gas Co an.: Petition to excavate on approximately 350 feet in street on Adams X Adams Avenue to install a gas main and also to install a gas service' for Mr. Sinda was voted on unanimously. Merrimack-Essex Electric Li ht Co. and New England Tel. & Tel. 80: Permission was granted to relocate Joint poles on Chadwick Street, 435 feet west of Osgood Street and on Hillside Rd 671 feet south of Chestnut Street, Southerly. Also a petition was granted for a joint location of an existing pole on Dale Street. Mr. Duff~ Boardof Public Works: An Article was introduced to provide access to the 1988 layout of Wood Lane from Adams Avenue. Fire Station~n Committee~ Letter from Mr. Dana N. Fisher confirming his.report on the architect selected for the project; a Mr. Clinton F. Goodwin. Town AccoUntant was requested to hold over the Unspent allowance granted at Town Meeting for the ex- penses of nex year. American Gold Star Mothers Arc,invitation was extended to the Selectmen to attend the annual installation ceremonies of the new officers. A letter was sent with thanks~and appreciation of the invitation and stated the Selectmen would make every effort $ attend. orr Commission Meetin~ A report from Mr T. P. Zimnyre meeting of November 6, 1961. A delay inplayground meeting has been caused bythe necessity of the presence of James Nane in Court. Peter Newittwill notify the Board as soon as a date is available. Private Wa~ Si s: A letter complaining that the "Private Way" signs were improperly placed in the Town Yard was referred to Town Clerk, J. Lyons. Street Li .htSurvev: was requested by Mr. Sutcliffe for Colgate Drive to Osgoed Street. Prudential Life Insurance Co: James Maker presented report for insurances of Town. A.2etter ~ renew our G~oup Insurance Life with the Company. Chief Josezh W. Lawlor:_ Re: Western Electric traffic and parking around "Den Rock" Re~ Chief Lawlor reported that the Den Rock Restaurant owners are going to provide own park- ing area. That there had been complaints also about cars parking on 0ontutt Street. At a conference at Western Electric, Chief Lawlor requested additional men for better traffic control and traffic protection.
