Hearing: P.M. with sll ~ The application for license to store gasoline, fuel oil, and waste,'0tl of Tidewater ~il Company was postponed pending the decision of the Advisory Board. STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC KORKS: RT. 125 A Letter giving permission to extend sewage proJec~ across Route 125 was received by the Board and it was referred to the Board of Public Works for proper action. STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC UTTLITIES: Notification of a hearing,was received on the petition by the Eastern Mass. Street R.R. Co. for a relocated route to bring se~v£ce to the Elderly HousingProJect.. OnJahuary 16th, we were informed byMr. Francis J. Hickey, Jr., Secretsry, that the petition had been allowed and would be officially processed within a week. BO~T0~ & MAINE~J~AiLR~AD : Re: Snow clearance on tracks at Depot. In answeretooa letter of protest from the Selectmen re the inaccessibility of the North ~ndover Railroad Station after a snow storm , th~ Boston & Maine R.R. Company assured the Town in a letter that corrective measures would be taken and that proper clearance to the train would be assured. SNG~REMOVAL EMERGENCY: The Selectmen approved a transfer of $14,933.45 from available funds to pay the ~o~t of snow removal for two December storms. Costs were $482.%0 for December 17, 1961 and $14,4~0.9S for the December 24th storm. It was voted to refer the matter to Mr. Dine, Director of Accounts; UNITED STATES S~ATOR BENJAMIN A. SMITH: In reply to a letter sent to him, Mr. Smith notified the Board .that he would and~avor' .Go the quick processing of the approval of the Federal Aeronautic Agency for the .sale of playground land now owned by the Lawrence Airport Commission. MERRY. CE-ESSEX ELECTRIC COMPANY: Selectme~ were notified of lights being installed on Bradford Street and the Elderly Housing mproJect. REQUEST FROM MR. SLADE: RE: D£~LOPNENT ON HAVENHZLL- NORTH ANDOVER LINE. : A request from the above-nsmed party was received by the Selectmen to investigate an proposed housing development on the Haverhill line on Bradford Street. Residents abutting this property, were quite concerned. Letters were sent to Haverhill Mayor, Edward N. Nordengren., and Town Counsel, Arnold H. Salisbury., concerning this matter. ARTICLES RECEi~ED FOR TO~N WARRANT: ARticles for the Town Warrant were received and will be listed together in the future minutes when Warrant is closed. The Board voted to approve Section II, of the petition of the North Andover Personnel Board, to~n citizens of North Andover and a letter was sent to the House Clerk, House Of to that effect.
