Robert E. Campbell, 1 Campbell Road, requested a light at the corner- of that road and Salem St., and the request was referred tc the light company for TO~N C0~NSEL RE REGULATIONS FOR LA~ING OUT OF STREETS: A nine-point program based on a recent Supreme Court decision was proposed by Town Counsel, isbury, for laying out of streets: A motion by (hairman William A. Finneran~ end past ly was that existing an~ t~ture applicants for the acceptance of streets must conform to the new regulations as set down by Atty. Salisbury, town counsel. The regulations went into effect i~edistely. Adjudication hearing on the fi~e streets already reviewed by the planning board was set for March 5th, which is also election day. The applicants will be heard, in ten-minute bearings, beginning at 7:30 p.m. and in the following order: Morris Street, Woodstock Street, (from Massachusetts avenue to Wood lane) Carry circle, Fountain drive, and Davis Street extension. Building Inspector Charles Foster: Real estate sign erected at 77 Gaickering Rd. by George H. Schr~ender, Sr. 54 Dufton Ct. was approwd by the inspector, r+. was voted to postpone action on the matter until nex~ week's meeting so that members of the board could inspect the sign and site in person. PENDAK: A request by Mrs. E. V. Pendak, 71 Marblehead St. to move a house from 107 Nass. 'Ave. -to the corner cf that street and Ph~lllp Brooks Rd., was scheduled for heering on Februsry 26th. from the North Audo~er Tree Wardan, Chief Lawlor, Building Inspector, ~erles Foster, Tel. & Tel. and Merrimack-Essex Electric Company were requested for the hearing. · STATE DEPT. OF AGRICUL'~'U~E: Nomination of an inspector of animals was tabled until after electitm. TEAFFIC SION 25-mile per hour: Selectmen Ralph E. Finck proposed that a survey be' made by the police chief, and the. traffic division of the State Department cf Public Works re the posting of Sutton Street from the Lawrence line to Route 125 (Osgood Street) as a 25-mile per hour zone. The motion, he said, ~all- ed to pass by the Board last y~ar. A sign, he added, should be placed at both ends of the zone informing motorists of the speed limit and enforcement of the reguIation. The motion on survey was passed unanimously end Harold NcWilliams, Danvers, Mass. was notified. MERRIMACK ESSEX ELECTRIC COMPANY: A light w~s installed on pole 351, Osgood Street per request of the Board on january 31, 1962. ~he meeting was adjourned at 8:23 p.m. Alice M. Letarte, Secretary. The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date at 7:30 P.M. with all members present, Chsirman Finneren presiding. ~ HEARING: 7:30 P .M.: Petition for pole and wire locations on the southerly side of Davis Street Extension at a point approximately 110 feet w. from East Water Street, 1 pole; On the southerly side of Davis St. Ex~. near the w. l~e of East Water Street, 1 pole; On the w. side cf E. Water Street near the northerly line of Chickering Road, 1 pole. Granted unanimously by the Selectmen. Order for Joint locations-existing poles on the essterlyside of Patriot Street at points approx- imately 120 ' and 242 ' northerly from Frencis Street, 2 poles~' Gran~e&;unanlmously.
