The regttlar meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date at ?:30 p.m. with all members present, Chairman Finneran presiding: Hearings on Street Acceptances were held and the following streets accepted: 1. At 7:40 p.m. Woodstock Street was accepted by unanimous vote. 2. At 7:50 p.m. Certy Circle was accepted by unanimous vote. 3. At. 8:00 p.m. Fountain Drive was accepted by unanimous v~te. 4. At 8:00 p.m. Davis Street Extension was accepted by unanimous vote. Morris Street's application for acceptance, not recommended by the ~lanning Board, was presented by Attorney A. J. Rendazzo on behalf of the abutters. He'requested the Plenning Board to reverse its decision but was refused on the grounds that it did not conform to to the provisions of the Subdivision Control law, and told the Attorney that no provis- ions had been made for water, storm drain or full sewer coverage. The Selectmen told the petitioners they would look into the matter before Saturday's adjudication deadline. Hearing of Merrimack-Essex Electric Company: .Permission was granted unanimously to electric company to erect a guy pole on the north side of Sutton Street near the La~rance Airport; to install 4 street lights on' Wentworth Avenue; 1 street light opposite Dr. A. R. Contarino's home on 76 Hillside Rd. and 1 street light on Boston Street near the Andover-North ~ndover line. Znstallation had been made of street lights on Dale,Street, Heath Road and Heath Circle and Forest Street. Permission also granted the ~e~En'gland Tel. & Tel. Co.. and Merr-Essex Elec. Companies to erect 5 joint poles at the souteast corner of Woodbridge Rd. and Miflin Drive. Lawrance Gas Company: Permission granted for petitiom to .excavate on Johnson Street. House Moving: Letter from Porter & Desme~d, house movers, re applications of Mr. & Mrs. Walter Pendak and Mrs. McCraken. Jeremiah Casey, New Engl; Tel. & Tel. Co. and Eric Rothwell, representing the Merrimack-Essex Electriz Company, stated that the proposed house movings would .cost the thlephone company over $1,O00 and the electric company from $1t700 to $4~200. These costs wauld re-occur every time a house is moved. Disruption of service in the power company's case would run from one to four hours. Request: A recAuest from the Merrimack Valley Sailing Club of Wester Electric Compeny to use Lake Cochichewick for sailing craft was referred to the Board of Public Works. Juror ~awn: Frank Barbett, 67 Concord Street, was drawn for duty in Salem Superior Court on April 2nd. !nvit ati on: An invitation was received from the Girl Scouts to attend the Golden Day of:Rededication.
