Rurak and Representative Roger E. Ingalls called to state that they had expressed their affirmative/iews and supported the towa and County on the relocation of the Marble head St. R. R. Crossing. The railroad wants to abclis~ it altogether. A reconvened hearing on this matter will be held on July 2, in the D.P.U. offices. NOR~ ANDO~ER POLICE BASEBALL LEAGD'E: The selectmen highly comended the police department in their sucesaful efforts to org~ize.,i a baseball team that will give older teenagers, 15 ye~rsold and up, a chance to participate in an organized aport, keeping then occupied and out of tronble. The police depsx~mant are now looking for sponsors to this most noteworthy cause. Willien McEvoy reported on the activities and session of his pla2groand leaders at the rmtver~ - sity of Massachusetts. He stated the leaders learned much from this short seminar and realii~ from the reports of other playground directors that North Andover's progren was very progressive. · He stated, also, that the new pla~gA'onnd at the Airport area would open on Monday, July 2nd. ~ONMER S~EDULE: The Board announced the beginning of their summer s~hedule regarding the Selectmen's meetings on Monday nights. During July and August, the meetings will be every two weeks, instead' of every week; the next meeting to be held on July 9th. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. Alice N. Letarts, Secretary. Around 4~ residents appeared to state their concern that their beautiful trees that border Salem Street would be destroyed in the interest and process of improving Salem S~reet ~hich w~,~ mean widening the street in many instances; hence the remo~A1 of trees. As a result of this informative hearing, the residents returned to their homes with the knowledge that only a few trees wonld be renoved. Approval for the 'repairing andimproving of the street was voted on at Town Meeting in March, 1961, by the townspeople.
