Co. and Mass. Electric Company. Hearings were set up for pole s on Wood Lan6 and Sutton Hill Road and Salem Turnpike at corner of Peters Street. LAWRENCE SAS LTGHT. CONPANY: Petitions were granted the a~ove~named company to excavate at 221 Sutton St.,concord St., Marble- ridge Road, Sutton Street, Mass. Ave., corner of Beacon Avenue, Waverly Rd, near Mass. Ave. Pond Road near Stevens Street. STREET LIGHT REQUEST: Massachusetts Electrcic Company will be asked to make a s~rvey for possible streetlighting at the -~-3~ue~t of.Norman Scott. Wright Avenue. '~15tice was received of additional aid to dependent and needy children and communication was re- ferred to the Welfare Dept. EASTERN MASS. ST. RY. CO. RE: ELDERLY ROUSING BUS ROUTE: A letter from Mr. Earl Card; manager of the ~astern Mass. St. Ry. Co. requesting that the bus rou~e to the eld~ly housing project be returned to the old route and listed three reasons for his request. The Board voted to contact the Chairman of the housing group ;and the people in- volved for their approval or recommendations and notify Mr. Card accordingly. DEPARTMENT HEAD MEETING: A meeting of all department heads and any member of the various town boa~ds interested were in- vited to meem at the local Fire Station to discuss problems of the town and the coming tax rate on this date, 8:30 p.m. The meeting adJourne~ at 8:25 p.m. Alice M. Letazte, Secretary November 26, 1962. The re~lA~r, meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held on this date with all three Selectmen Chairman Finneran presiding. HEARINGS: Pole locations: Petitions of the N.E.T. & T. Co. and Massachusebts Electric Co. were granted on Wood Lan6 and Sutton Hill Rood. Pole location on Chickering Road from approximately 70 feet southof Pleasant Street, southbof Pleasant St, 3 poles, was postponed pending agreement between telephone company and an abutter. NO PAREING BAN: The Board voted to have the annual 'Bo Parking" Ban advertised in the paper, Thursday, November 29th an 30th with the ban going into affect on Saturday, December 3, 1962, at 12:01 until 6:00 A.M. d~g the months of December, January, February and March. ELDERLY HOUSING ROUTE: The Board voted that a letter be sent to the Eastern Mass. St. Ry. Co. manager informing him that it was agreeable with the elderly housing group members to have the bus route returned to its old route in~.that area. LAWRENCE GAS CCMPANY: PermiSsion was granted to excavate in the following streets: Fanlkner, corner of Greene Street; Woodstock Street, Wood Lane, Elmcrest Road and Wood Lane, another section. SASSAG~USETTS ELECTRIC Co: Notice was received of installations of street lights on Great Pond Road, corner of Farnum and Stm~er Street and on pole 436 on Water Street. Recommended were lights for 131 Osgood Street Wright Avenue, and 674 Turnpike Street which were voted on favorably by the Board. AppOIN~TS: The Board appointed Mrs, Helen Parker, First Street, Precinct I a "Spare Worker" and Mr. Earl Shepherd, 302 Sutton Street, a member of the Personnel Board. INVITATIONS: Invttatibns were received from the Board of Health and the Board of Assessors :~o luncheon maeting~ ~ w~ich the Selectmen will make every effort to attend. COMM]NDATION: A letter of commendation from builder J.J. Segadellt, Inc. thanking our Building Inspector, ~"r. Charles Foster, for his cooperation re the new buildings on Main Street. CHIEF LAWLOR: ND; FENCES: Chief Lawlor requested the Selectmen asked the Highway Dept. to insert article for ToWn Meeting for broken-down fences on Pleasant Cochichwick and cor.MassAve. &
