Cakes, Raymond Broadhead and Chairmen Finneran presid.+~g: H~G: 7:30 p.m. Application to store gasoline underground for a Shell Station from Charies Matses, Sutton Street ~as granted by theBoard of Selectmen. HFAR~NO.- 7:}6 p.m. (2) Petition of New England Tel. & Tel. Co. and Massachusetts Electric Company for 'a Joint pole location on Sutton Street, from approximately 360' s.w. cf Thorndike Road, s.w., 1 pole was granted by the Board. Petition of New England Tel. & Tel; Co. for pole and wire locations: Forest St., from approximately 1893' s.e. of Boxford St., 1 pole~ and Forest Street from approximately 2333' s.e. of Boxford Street, 1 pole, was also granted by the Board. The Board received a letter from the above-named board who stated .they woul~ study~the' ' -' powers and duties of an appeals board in ~rder that a procedure for appeal from any: · Personnel Board decision may he set up by our respective hoards. As soon as their study is · completed they will so ~*orm the Board of Selectmen. They also enclosed a letter-address&i· S~umed D. MASSACHUSETTS ELECTRIC CC~PA~Y: Re Street Lighting' ~udget. · ~Mr. Clarance E. Chapman, Jr., sent an estimated cost for 1963 street lighting Budget in the amount of $34,409.00, This amount will not allow for any other new lights to be installed. 'during the year. APP0~N~T: Mrs. Margaret A. Carr, 28 Edmands Road, Precinct IZI was appointed a spare worker by the Board in an unanimous vote. "ES PAinT,G" REQUEST: Referred to the Chief of Police was a request to have a '~o Parking" ban posted opposite the Grange at the intersection of Stevens.street.and Great Pond Road. The request was submitted by Mrs. Eleanor Flanders. BOY SC0~TS: The Boy Scouts of North Andover celebrated "Boy Scout" week by invaa~g the Town Building and tak-Ang up various offices held by Town Personnel. ~hey occupied the Selectmen*s chairs and learned how town business was disposed of in the Selectmen's l~eeting every Monday night.
