Chairman Duffy, Jr. presid~ nv. The Warrant w~s approved, as submitted. ,~ G~iERAL CONTRACTOR BIDS:, '~ One General Contractor bid was received for the repairing of the Town Building..Charles Foster, Building .Inspector. The bid was taken under advisement. GASOLINE STORAGE: Applications received to store Diesel Oil undergound (1000 gellons) on Holt Rd. and 500 gallons gasoline aboveground at W.T. Grant'Reteil Store at the North Andover Mall were approvsd by the Board and Chief Daw. ST~ ~:~T LIGHTS: A .request was granted by the Board to have a survey made for street lights on 25 Woods Avenue, vicinity of residence of William Hilbert who stated the street was very dark be- cause of lack of any street light. The Board received notice that street lights hsd been installed on Hillside Rd. ~nd Park Street. ,.POLE LOCATION: A petition to relocate 1 pole, remove 1 pole, on Beverly Street was approved by the Board. No hearing was necessary. SAI~E STREET BITJ.~: A bill and statement of work completed on Salem Street by George Brox, Inc. was received by the Board and referred to the Highway Surveyor. HOUSING & URBAN DEVEiDPMENT : STORM DRAINAGE: A letter received re a survey on future storm d~ainage in the town was received and referred to the Highway Surveyor. WATER NAIN, JOHNSGI ST.: A letter from Superintendent William B. Duffy, Sr., advised the Board'that a 6" water main will be replaced on Johnson Street and that bids will be called for. ~ OF ~ULY: Letters received from Senator Kennedy and William Hogan, legislative assistant %o William Bates mdvised the Board they would not be able to attend the town's 4th of July activities. San~tor Kennedy had previous committments and Congressman Bates is Still quite ill. Chairman Henry G~ee~ s~nt an invitation to the B6ard to participate in the activities and requested that a Proclamation be made by the Selectmen. The Board so voted. GAS EXCAVATI~: A petiti°n to excavate on Salem Street to install a gas main was received and a~proved'by the Board. ]NVITATI~: The Board voted to make every effort ~o attend an'AntiqUe Car RallYat Brooks~School to be~ held on June 22 for the benefit of the Greater Lawrence Association of the Blind, Inc.. Referred to Chairman Duffy, Jr. CAPI2AL OUTLAY C~.~ITTEE: A letter ' from the above-named committee contained requests for a report from the Board ami Town Departments to be submitted before September 15, 1969. WASHINGTCN CONFERENCE: The Board received invitations to a Washington Conference, june §-9-10 sponsored by Senators Kennedy and Brooke on municipal problems. Selectmen Duffy and Finnoran will attend. JURY LIST: The Jury list for July 1969-1970, compiled by the Board's Secretary, 137 names were approved. A list was sent to Clerk of Courts and a list was given to John J. Lyons. ZONING VIOLATICNS: Three zoning violations submitted by Building inspector were complaints on Sweeney, Steinburg, and Bevins. SPECIAL T~ NEETING: A special town meeting with 10 Articles was held at 8:00 P.M. ~Clerk
