D'~ngelo) said the overpass had been accepted by the town and that it was the town's reponsibility tc repair the light. Selectmen stated that they had never received andy communication from the State in regard to accepting the overpass and directed that a letter be sent to S.Eidleman to that effect with a copy of Chief La~lor's letter. RESIG~L~TION: Letter of resignation received from Duncan MacKillop as a member ef the Sign By-Law Co~n. Letter of appreciation and thanks for his services will be sent to him. FEE WAIVEP~-~JNICIPAL: Letter from Seth Hudak, Asst. Supt. of Schools, for Peter Garofoli, requested waiver of fees forbuilgtng inspections of all school facilities. Selectmen directed a letter be sent to Town Counsel asking whether or not the Selectmen had the authority to waive said bm,fl ding fees or must the rotter go before Town Meeting for action. OPE~ HOUSE - N~ GARAGE: Chairman Guthrie advised the Board that he had sent a letter to Richard Harrington advising that an Open House is being planned and that it would be under the direction of department heads and the Selectmen. The Selectman directed Tom F~Evoy to contact Bud Cyr on the matter. .RESERVE FUND REQUEST - DOG OFFICER: Board voted to send request for funding from the Reserve Fund to cover May and June of Dog Officer. Ail expenses are reimbused by the County. RECEIVED: Letter from Personnel Board re twe decisions, the second of which the Selectmen did not agree. "Employees who were out sick could not be compensated for any Holiday that fell. during the period they were sick." Board directed Selectman Coady to contact the Board. Letter from Office of Administration and Fincnce re Personnel Memo 76-12. Letter from Senator Burke re rail service. Letter from town accountant re town a~it. Letter from Boosters Club asking the Selectmen participate in billboard ads. o.k. Release from Civil Air Patro2 to park vehicle on town property. Notices of hsarings from Board of Appeals. Electric Co. for installation of cable on Chickering Road. Approved by Selectmen. CONDUIT LOCATION: Petition received from New England Tel. & Tel. Co. for conduit location on Pleasant Street. Hearing set for May 24,1976 at 7:30 p.m.. Abutters to be notified. NASSACHUSETTS AVENI~E SPEED REGULATION: The Board received Special Speed Regualtion No. 2040 which will reduce the speed on Mass. Avenue to 35 m.p.h.. The Board unanimously signed and approved the regualtion. APPOINTNE~S: The Board unanimously reappointed the following to the Insurance Committee: James H. Dewhirst, John Lanni, Stewart Wilson, Roger Lawson, ~lbert Goebel, Jr. and Edward J. MaAloou. The Board made a request that the co~m~ttee look into the feasabiltty of dental insurance under the present Blue Cross-Blue Shield program. The Board also appointed three new members to the Town's Bicentennisd Co~,~,~ttee: Dianne Norwood, Donald Beveridge and John J. Lyons.
