POLE AND CABLE HEARINSS: Approved: Petitions to install conduit on Marbleridge .~d., petition to install cable on ridge Rd., Petition to install 1 pole on Marbleridge Rd. Relocation of 2 poles and transfer 9 poles on Osgood St. CIVIL DEFENSE: Letter from John Coco requesting a stall of civil defense car in old town garage. Chairman Guthrie authorized to grant request. CAT SOAN~ER: Letter of thanks to Selectmen for supporting B cn Secour's request for a CAT Scanner. M.V.TRANSIT AUTHORITY: Tho~ Selectmen voted to approve application of above-named for Federal Funding. R~EEIVED: Letter from Town Counsel re Group Dental Insurance. Letter referred to Town Treasurer. Letter from Mike Roberts representing American Mat-,1 Ins. Co. Selectmen approved offer to compute employees needs by the insurance Co. Letter from S. Eidleman re Walter Stamp Complaint. Petitions to inst,11 gas services on Park, Pleasant and Ashland Streets. Approved. COMPLAINT: HIGH ST. Several residents, vicinity of 182 Nigh St., appeared before tho Board to complain about the rehearsing of a professions2 band (5 pcs.) several hours a day at 188 Nigh St. Noise has been going on for a month. TO~N COUNSEL APPOINTMENT: The 10 member committee designated to appoint a Town Counsel annually, convened at 7 p.m. this date. Only one application received, that of present town counsel. Chairman Guthrie was motioned ~ seconded to c~ one vote:' for Arnold N. Salisbury, Esq. to ho Town O~-~el for ensuing year at salary approved at town meeting....salary, $6800. and expenses $2200. Ch. Gu.thrie remarked that, as Town Counsel never itemized his expenses, perhaps the budget should be amended to show 89000. salary. However, this would take town meeting action and should be tabled until next year. POLE IOCATIO~ PEITIONS: Approved, but held up for two weeks, petition to insta~ 1 pole, remove 1 pole on Salem St. To ~tal~ 1 pole, remove 1 pole on Union Street. Nearings set on petitions to locate conduit on Great Pond Road in different locations on 7/19/76, at 7:30 P.M. SCHOOL THEFTS: Letter received from School Committee requested the Board to approve a thef~ insurance policy for the N.A. Public Schools, said policy to cover total value of $88,000. in equipment at a yearly premium of $1,760. Selectmen referred the matter to the Town Znsurance Co~ttee and ~ also meet v~i~th~?~a, Chi,ef~,~Ia~or and the new Administrative Assi~mt to study the problem of additio insurance. 'Letter sent to School comittee to that effect. AIRPOR~ TRAFFIC: Letter received from ~ita M. Seire complaining about lo~'.-.flying planes and congested air traffic. Copy of letter sent to ~.trport Manager, T% Davies. Selectmen stated that until an air contrsl tower can be ins$~l~ed, Manager cannst do anything about complaints. GROUP DEITAL Z~UPANCE: Town Cc,,~-~el replied to Selectmen's inquiries re group dental insurance. Letter to J. to advise cost involved based on commu~cation from Town Counsel.
