The Selectmen pointed out that they had instructed Town to acquire the necessary land several months ago. They voted to send another letter re- questing once again that he take the nscesaary steps immediately to acquire this land. Acopy of his letter was sent to Marshal Rogers. BLUE CFOSS-BLUE SHIW~n: Brian S-11~van brought up a proposed policy for part-time, permanent ~loyees who would be eligible to Join the towns Blue Cross-Blue Shield program. Three items were discussed: present part-time employees may stay on if they agree to be frozen at the 35-6~% program. New appointees may Join group if they pay full premi~mm; they ~ll receive group benefits at the group rates. Permanent para-time employees must work 20 hours a week. A group of partime school employees appeared before the Board to protest a proposed required 30 hour work week to become eligible. Selece~n NcEvoy stated and made a motion that the matter should he studied further before any policy is voted on. Selectmen Coady second the motion to take the matter under advisement. Selectman Gnthrie stated that the policy should be set as soon as possible. R~RESENTATIVE JOE HERMANN: The Board voted to invite nswly-elected Joe Hermann to attend the next Businessmen,s Legis- lative Caucus on November 17, at the Nerrimack Valley Motel, at a breakfast meeting, at 8. Coady, Thomas J. McEvoy with Chairman Guthrie presiding. The nitrates and warrant were approved as submitted. POLICE CAR BIDS: Police car bids were received and referred to Chief Lawlor for checking of specifications and recommendation. ALL NIGHT PA~X~NG BAN: The Selectmen voted to advertise the ell-night parking ban effective at 12:01, December 1st to be on through December, January, February and Narch unless otherwise voted. FUEL OIL BIDS: Ca]Is for bids, to be advertised, for supplying the town building with fuel oil was by the Board. Bids will be opened on November 29, at 7:30 p.m. PETITIONS: Petition to repair gas service on 64 Church St. Highway Surveyor stated that some official should be notified even though it was an eraergeucy. Three Petitions to install underground conduits on Johnson, Boxford and Winter Streets. Haarings set for November 22, at 7:30 P.M. NOEYH ANDOVER G~0WTH POLICY COMMITTEE: Letter advised the Board that the above-named committee had received a funding grant in the amount of $~00. It was voted to send letter to committee commending .them for their good work. CA~ON REQUEST: Letter from Chief Lawlor advised the Selectmen that hehad no objection to the painting M.
