McEvoy with Chairman Joseph A. Guthrie present. The minutes and warrant were approved as submitted. JUROR: Paul A. Pierog, 84 Belmont St., was drawn for January 3, 1977 Sitting, at Salem Superior Ct. C0~SERVATiON COMMISSION: Letter from Patricia Trembly, Chairman, concerning reimbursement to the town for land pur- chased around Eae's Pond. To be referred to Town Co,m~el for his cements. Pat Trembly to be invited to Dec. 20th Selectmen's Meeting. Application from Vincent J. Blandini, requesting m-mbership on Conservatisn C~ssion. Accepted for file. Approval of application from Ner~m~ck V~l~ ey Planning Commission. Notice of Board of Appeals hearings. Letter from Sen. Saltoustall thanking Board for w~rk on lottery petition. RESOURCE RECOVERY FACILITY: Letter from Board of Health and Planning Board stated their approval and support of the above-named facility being located in North Andover. Meeting with other communities w~l~ take place on Wednesday, December 15, in Methuen. Members from the State Momental Dept, w~l be present to discuss future site of the Resource Recovery Facility. Notice of excavation on Peters St. from Gas Co. P~mey Contrators ~cavating. Depts. notif~ HOUSING APPEALS: Rec'eived'..copy of Appeals Court Decision on Bal. of Appeals of North Audover v. Housing Appeals and others. Board will request Town Counsel to take necessary action by Dec. 19th to reappeal matter to Court of Appeals. Several residents present from the Waverly P~ad area. Anna Denahue told Selectman Ccady that he should disq,,-ltfy him~l * from voting on matter. When Coady asked for what reason, no one could give one; Mr. Coady then asked A. Donahue to retract her request which she did. Board voted to reaffirm their stand on matter. WARRANT OP~NING: .. x The Board opened the Warrant for inclusion of Articles for the Ausual' Town Meeting' ~n April 22, 1977. Date of closing will he announced later. FI~FIGHTERS GRIEVANCE: Gr, 76-6 discussed.' Firefighters feel entitled .to 2 personal days; Board of Engineers say · they hav~ hot funds to pay for the 2 days. Fire Engineers requested the Selectmen- to a request to the Advisory Board for $10,000 from the Reserve'~?und. The Selectmen stated tha~ had no intention of doing so..that it ~as duty of the Board of Fire ~Lueere. A meeting ' ~e b~d on Sunday, at 2 p.m., to discuss the matter further. PA~XING EEQUEST: Brian $,~van to contact Chief of Police to ask ~hat action would be necessary to allow parking on both sides of the street from Third St. to East Water Street. Report due on 12/20 WI P~ING INSPECTOR: Building Inspector appeared before the Board requesting raise in salary for John Thompson, Wiring Inspector.
