The Board voted to appoint David Roberts and Albert A. Fountain to fill this need. AB~ SITE REQUEST: The Board received a request, via telephone call'.:to the Secretary, from Lt. Kevin Eilleen of the Danvers National Guard, for permission to use the ABM Site for military maneuvers. The Board advised a letter be sent to state that the Board had no authority to grant permission to use the ABM Site. Lt. Killeen was advised to contact Commissioner Browrmll's office in the Department of Natural Resoumces. PERMANENT PATROLMAN: Chief Lawlor requested the Board to send in a requisition requesting an eligible list for the appointment of one patrolman for the police depar*.mant. It was so voted. FINOOHIARO PROBL~2(: A letter from Arnold Salisbury, Town Counsel, advised the Board that Mr. Einochiaro's problems wo~e h~s own, alone, and not the Town's. The Board voted to receive the letter for filing. "KITE" FESTIVAL REQUEST: · David Parent, Director of the Community Center, telephoned a request to Chairman Kirk for per- mission to use the Town Farm area on june 27 for a children's Kite Festival. Selectman Dully stated he thought Mr. Parent should send a fo _r~l request via a letter. Selectman Guthrie stated that, as far as he was concerned, nc letter was needed, that it was a fine outing for children and that he approved. Hr. Kirk senon~ed the motion with the stipulation that Chief ,Lawlor be advised of the event. The approval was ~--nimous. POLICE' LEGAL ADVISOR: ' The Board discussed the matter of a two-c0mmanity Police Legal Advisor for Andover ami North Andover. It was stated By ,,~embers of the Board that they approved the appointment but would. like to study b~s duties further ~-d the arrange~_euts that were proposed. Chairman Kirk motioned that Town CoUnSel prepare an Article for a Special Town Naeting to meet the expenses of said appointment .--~ that the A~visory Beard be approached on the matter. Selectman Guthrie was advised that if any urgent 1Selectmen's business came upi the Chairman would c~ a special meeting mo resolve the matter.
