Mileage should be itemized. 3. Trave expenses to be presented for payment no later than thirty (30)days after incurring such costs. h. Ail supporting documents to be attached to the reverse side of Voucher i.e...hotel bills, toll slips, etc. It was the unanimous action of the Board to thank Selectman Kirk for his efforts on the above. CML DEFENSE BUDGET: John Coco submitted budget for Board's approval, copies Were made for Board members. PUBLIC WORKS TRA~'FIC MEETING: Selectman Coady wanted on record the Board's sincere thanks to Senator Rurak, Councillor Lane and Representative Hurrell for their aid to the town at a recent meeting with Commissioner Campbell. Chairman Guthrie stated that their excellent presentation of the town's safety resulted in a successful meeting. The Board authorized the Chairman to send letters of thanks and appreciation to the men. SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SITE:_ Highway Surveyor, William Cyr, reported on a Solid Waste Disposal meeting he recently attended. He stated the surrounding communities proposed a regional disposal site but Mr. Cyr stated a regional site would not offer any advantages to the town of North Andover and that it would be better if North Andover built a new disposal site for its own use,. that he believed the town would not have to go regional. Chairm~n Guthrie agreed with him but said state legislation might possibly force the town to go regional. The Board commended Mr. Cyr for his long range planning and commented that the city of Lawrence is to blame for the situation they are now in. GASOLINE SHOEIAGE: Mr. Cyr also stated that he was worried about the affect the gasoline shortage would be on his street snow plowing program. Fifthy percent of his plowing is done by private concerns. He asked if arrangements could be made to have the plowers obtain gas from local gas stations. The Board voted to have Selectman Coady and Cyr study the situation to try to solve the Mr. Coady ~rlll act on behalf of the Board. WIRING INSPECTOR: Building Inspector and Wiring Inspector appeared before the Board stating the Wiring Inspector planned to request additional funds from the Reserve :%and;because of the increased work load of Wiring Inspector, his mileage allotment has been expended. The Selectmen requested Mr. Thompson to bring in his budget to determine amount of his request and that all mileage should be presented on a 30-day basis.
