SPECIAL TOWN MEETING': The Selectmen called a Special Town Meeting for February 11, 1974, at 7:00 P.M. in the Firemem's meeting room and opened the warrant at 8:5% p.m. for enclosure of 1 Article: To change the the town's General By-Laws by striking Sec. 1 of Article 1, which the Annual Town Meeting to be held on the first Monday of March, and substituting in place thereof the following: Section I. The Annual Town Meeting shalltbe held on the first Monday in April each year. Warrant was closed at 8:56 P.M. Kirk with Chairman Joseph A. Guthrie presiding. The minates and warrant were approved as submitted. At a hearing, the Board approved the petition of Mass. Electric Co. to install 64 feet. of buried cable on s. west side of Andover St. from Pole 1187 mo Andrew Circle. Also from Polel186. Hearing was setfor February 2~, 1974 on petition of New England Tel. & Tel. Co. to' instal/ feet. of conduit and 1 manhole on Sutton Street. SPECIAL SPEED REGULATIONB: The Selectmen execute~':'theabove-named regulations for Dale and Appleton Streets which were attested by the T own Clerk and sent back to the State Department of Public Works for further processing. RECEivED: Notice from lawrence Gas Co. of e~cavation a~ the intersection of Andover St. and Andrew Circle by Mass. Electric Co. Notices sent to Highway, Public Works and Police depar~mants. JANITOR APPOINTMENT: After discussion of the Janitorial position, Robert McCarthy, 48 Linden Ave., North Andovex was unanimously appointed ~o be the town building Janitor for 'ithe nex~ six months.
