Kirk with Chairman Joseph A'. Guthrie presiding. The ~inutes and warrant were approved as submitted. STOP SIGN REQUEST: A letter, from Chief Lawlor requested a Stop sign , northeasterly side of High Street at the intersection of Chadwick St. The Board voted to process the request. Certificate of incorporation - referred to Chief Lawlor for references. Certificate of incorporation for location only - 45 Peters St. - approved by Board. Notice of hearing, March 7, 10 a.m., Rm. 245, State House on school transportation funding. Selectman Kirk will attend. Notice to be forwarded to school superintendent. POLE LOCATIO~: Hearing, elated for this date for a Joint pole location on Marbleridge Rd., wes postponed one week at the request of J. Casey, Hight of Way Agent, telephone company. LICENSING CGMMISSIO~ES: Application received for renewal of a Common Victualer license for Treadwell.s Ice Cream Stand. Approved. present as Joseph A. Guthrie retained his office by a la~ge vote. The minutes and warrant were approved as submitted. REORGANIZATION:~ As is the policy cf the Board, reorganization took place. voted in: The following positions were Chairman, Board of Selectmen .... HEARING: POLE LOCATION. The' Board approved the installation of one Joint pole on Marblerldge Road. PA~EING BAN: The Board voted to lift the ell-night parhing ban, town-wide, with the Stipulation if would become effective immediately in the event of a late-spring snowstorm. Police department wall be so notified. Louis A. Detora, 117 Cotuit St. and Gertrude C. Herlihy, 19 Carry Circle were drawn for duty at Salem for April 1 Sitting. Theresa Stevens, 146 Farnum Street was drawn for Jury duty, at Iawrence, for April 1 SALEM ST. ~ECONSTR~CTION: A letter from Highway Surveyor, W. A. Cyr, advised the Hoard that he intended to 4,000 ft of Salem Street by Force Account rather than contract. He requested the Selectmen to ask the County to establish the course of the remaining portion of Salem St. and to make any additional land takings all the ~ay to the Mlddleton Line. The Board voted to Ohmirman to discuss with the Highway Surveyor how soon construction is scheduled to start and when Hearing on the matter could be set. MANPOWER ACT: Letter received from Mayor of Haverhill re the manpower act and a~'telephone message from ~ichard Messer who stated that Mayor Buckley of I~wrence will call a meeting on the matter in the very near future. FIREFIGE~ER.S HEARING: Notice received re formal hearing om M.A. Firefighter,s complaint, on' March 20, 10 A.M. in Boston. Attorney Ford will 1~t~ an answer to the complaint with a copy to Board. GAS PETITION: The Board approved petition to excavate on 16 Hat,way Rd. to repair gas mains.
