Board voted to meet with them on Tuesday, January 28, to discuss same. Article in Town l~arrant must be submitted by Selectmen, however, Council does not have the authority to do RETIRED EMPLOYEES RE,JEST: so. Several signatures were on a petition to reinstate retired employees in the town's life insurance program for $2000. As it stands, retired employees are reduced to $1000. life insurance. Legislation has been passed to make this petition possible and is being expedited in the city of Boston. The matter w~s referred to J. Willis who will confer with the Town Treasurer to ascertain the cost to the town. RESERVE FU~ REG%EST-%'~IRING INSPECTOR: The Board approved a request for funds from the Reserve Fund to pay outstanding Wiring Inspector's expenses.- COUNTY ADVISORY BD. CONTRIBUTION: The Board authorized the town to contribute the sum of $%0.00 to defray expenses of the County Staff work~ng on the County Commissioner's budget. Legislative Caucus: Selectman Guthrle informed the Board that the Selectmen of North ~over would be hosts to the surrounding communities for the Legislative Caucus to be held on February 13, at 8:00 A.M. at the ~rrimack Valley Motor Inn. Congressman Tsongas will be present, also. The Board authorized Selectman Guthrle to make the necessary arr~ements. CE~A APPLICATIONS: Selectman Guthrie also advised, the Board that the certification of the applications for CE2A positions in the town should be received by this week Thursday, January 30. Selectmen agreed to send letter to Governor D~kis to record their support~:.of his opposition to President~Ford,s oil declaration. Copies to be sent to Mass. League of Cities & Towns ~ Nass. Selectmen's Association requesting they forward the letter to Mass. Congressional delegates. LICENSING CGMNISSIO~RS: Common Vi¢~ler licenses approved for Cumber~ Farms, ~Inc. for 128 Nain St., a ~, but for their new store at %33 Chickering F~., letter cf approvel of store must be received from Board of Heal%h before approval of license is given.
