TOPICS AGREEMENT: Four copies of the TOPICS Agreement was signed by the Selectmen, attested by the Town Clerk and sent to Town Counsel for his signature. As soon as the Dept. of Public Works receives said Agreement, bids will be advertised for the installation of traffic controls on Peters Street, corner of Rt. 125. POLE LOCATION PETITIONS: Joint pole location on Salem Street. Joint pole location on Ingalls St. Joint pole relocation on Salem St. Abutters will be so notified. CHARACTER REFERENCES FOR NEW CORPORATIONS: Affirmative character references were received from Chief Lawlor on Catherine V. Kilcoyne, James P. Keller and John F. Petrycki. Reports from Building, Gas and Wiring Inspectors. NETRIC SYBTEM: Letter received from Fifth Grade teacher, Jane Shelley, with letters from students re proposed metric sys{em. Board commended the students for their progressive thinking. TRANSFER RE~ESTS: The Board approved requests for additional funds from the Reserve Fund and so advised R. Kulpinsk~, Chairman of the Advisory Board, who was present. The following amounts re- quested: Street Lighting, $7500. and Town Building, $3200. ALL SPOTS DAY: Upon request of Selectman Guthrie, the Board proclaimed May 1, 1975, "Ail Sports Day." Mr. Guthrie commented that this day and night were important to the youth of the town and would recognize all sports, female and male, the students participated in. DOG OFFICER APPOINTMENT: At an executive session, the Board voted on the 21 applicants for the position of Dog Officer..All applicants were interviewed on Saturday, April 12. First-vote taken: 1 vote each for Hope Ann Watson, Will,am Dolan and Robert Dufresne. Second vote taken: 3 votes for Ernest Gauthier, 1537 Turnpike Street.. Mr. Gauthier will begin his duties on Tuesday, April 15, 1975. · ' LICENSING COMMISSIONERS: Approved: Renewal of Common Victualer licenses for North Andover Dairy Queen ans Servomation Corp. at Mass. Electric Co. Application for Co~on Victuler license for Curt Bush for a produce truck, selling vegetables and fruit referred to Chief Lawlor for approval.
