Connelly, Jr., 127 Turnpike Street, enclosing a letter he sent to Governor Duka~is re the corrective measures for traffic safety on Rt. 114. He re- quested the Board to write to the . .Governor and and to John Carroll, P~blic Works Commiss.q ioner stating we would appreciate remedial action taken on the highway. The Board voted to authorize the Chairman to write requested letter. ASST. DOG OFFICER: Letter from To~ Counsel advised the Board that it was clear that any town could have an Assistant Dog Officer.. IG.L.c.l~.O,s.151 provides that the Selectmen shall annually on May I designate one or more dog officers to hold office for one year or until their success- ors are qualified. Ne ~dvised that Mrs. Gauthier be paid a minimal annual salary deducted from her husband's compensation as official Dog Officer. The Board voted not to appoint an Assistant Dog Officer a~ this ~ime. RESERVE PATROLMEN APPOINTMENTS: The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to appoint Thomas J. Gilligan,68 Union St. N.A. and Glenn T. Annson, 100 Elm St. N.A. to the positions of Reserve Patrolmen in the Police Dept., date of service to begin Nay 12, 1975. Certification and Authorization of Employ- ment will be sent to Civil Service. C 1W-i L SERVICE: Letter from Civil Service advised the Board that the time for the appointments of the above-named Reserve Patrolmen was e~tended to Ju~y 5, 1975. NY TOWN GARAGE BIDS: The Board selected the three lowest General Bids on the new To~n Garage. They were Masiello, Mausour and Amecie Corporations. Contract will be awarded at a later date. RECEIVEN: Letter of appreciation from Scoutmaster of Troop 82 for Board's cooperation and courtesy. Letter of appreciation from Mrs. Barbara 01son re new Dog Officer's work and actions. CHIEF LAWLOR: The Board went into executive session with Chief Lawlor as personalities were involved. LICENSING COMMISSIONERS: BEANO LICENSE: The Board approved the application for a Beans license for K of C Council, 505 Sutton St. to.begin on Tuesday, June 24, 1975 from 7 to 11 p.m. and every Tuesday night~ thereafter. License and application were sent to Robert Q. Crane, Chairman, Mass. State Lottery Commissior 1 Gateway Center, Newton, Mass. CLUB, ALL ALCOHOLIC LICENSE: Application received for a Club, All Alcoholic license from The Willows, Inc., Robert P. Regan, Manager. Taken under advisement for future hearing. COMMON VICTUALER: Application for renewal of two co,on victualer licenses for Sea Food & Sandwich Shoppe 198 Sutton Street and their station wagon. Approved. (The next day~ Secretary found cdt that he had already secured 1975 licenses in January. He stated that he would leave the check for $10.00 for his 1976 licenses.) ~~~ ~ ~/~ Alice M.
