Copies made, given to all towm departments. TOWN FARM: . Note was made that the Town Farm will be vacated shortly by present tenants. Selectman GuthriE stated t~at Tom Leavitt had. proposed that bu~_lding be restored as it. is one of the oldest bldgs in town. Board voted to have J. ~tillis contac.t Mr.. Leavitt. DR. ELTAS COMPLAt~: Dr. ELias and his wife appeared before the Selectme~ to discuss the problem of people at ~idge Conference ~enter trespassing on his property affording them little privacy, using the tax-free land for commercial gain, lack of cooperation from Rev. Kooker, 'vandalism and noise nuisance. Dr. ELias stated that P~v. Kooker had promised to erect a chain link fence between the twe properties but had never done so. He did not think it proper to have dog shows at the 0enter...it was supposed to be used for religious groups, no~ for outings and weddings. Ch. Ceady stated that he had attended a small wedding there some years ago. C. Foster, Bldg. Iusp. was present ~who told Dr. ELias that the problem was a zoning problem and that he should go to the Board of Appeals for solution of his claim that RoLling ~idge was not being used properly, zoning-wise. Ch. Cindy stated the problem may be solved be screening BoLling ~idge schedules.. Rev. Eooker should notify Building Inspector of groups requesting the use of the place to make sure they had the right to be there. He also stated that C. Foster had had several discussions with Rev. Xooker on the issue. It was finally agreed that Chas. Foster, Dz. Elias and Town Counsel meet to tryI to resolve the problem, tentatively a week from Wednesday. LIC~SING CO~ISSIONERS: Memo received from the ABC concerning renewals of licenses. Same as last year with one excep- tion .... Affidavits may not be signed by authorized personnel, just Managers or Individual Selectman Ceady announced that the procedure of the last twe years,requesting that all corpora- tions secure a Cer~ifieate of Good Standing from the Dept. of Corporation and Taxation before renewels:granted,weuld not be required this year. Ail applications to begin in Oct. & Nov. Application received from Benjamin Ealinoweki for a Sunday license for his shop on 68 Sutton St. called ~he .Village Wood Shop. License application referred to Chief Lawlor. Select~an Guthrie remarked that if and when the Census is certi~ide by the Secretary of State, North Andover weuld be entitled to grant 1 more Ret. Pkg. Goods Store license (Ail Alcoholic) Nessina's Pkg. Store has has a long-standing application for such a license and it will be granted to themwhen time is possible. Alice:M. Letarte, Secretary ~~Clerk The Board of Selectmen held their regttlar meeting on this date with all members present; Sel- ectmen Joseph A. Guthrie, Thomas J. ~cEvoy with Chairman John F. Coady presiding. The warrant and minutes were approved as submitted. HFABING-POLE LOCATIC~S: Board approved the Joint pole locations of 11 poles on Rea Street and 1 pole on Johnson St. JUROR: ~ita W. Toomey, 43 Bright~mod Ave., was draw~ for the October 6 Sitting, at Salem. SCROLL SIC~N~G: Peter Rossiter presented Bicenteneiel Scroll for Board's signing. It was in reference to the Wagon Trains that will leave from a21 parts of the State headed for Valley Forge, Pa. in the Spring to arrive on July 3, 1976. Sandra ~unroe will enter her Wagon Train at the Topsfield Fair where' the Wagon Train will be chosen.to make the trip. ST RE~T LIGHT: John Lonqusil appeared before the Board on his request for a street light on Forest St. Board referred the matter to Chief Lawlor for his reco~unendation. The Board also advised Lonqueil that he could order the street light and pay for it himself if the town could not afford it. PERAEBULATION OF BOUNDS: Letter received from Eiddleton Selectmen requesting a date to walk the Eidlleton-North Andover boundaries. Board voted to send letters to l~iddlston setting date for Nov. 22, 1:30 P.M and Andover, Nov. 22, 9:30 A.M. To Boxford, dates proposed: Oct. 18 or Oct. 2%, 10:00 A.M. To Lawrence, Oct. 18 or Oct. 25, 1:30 P.M. Every 5 Years Selectmen have to perambulate heunds of surrounding communities.
