Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 5pm
Membership Updates and Role

Town committee discussed membership update and Role. It was agreed that Chanida will assist
committee with meeting minutes going forward.
●
Committee also discussed about the status of other absent committee members. Brian
volunteered to reach out to verify who are still active on the board.
New Business : Verizon License Renewal
●
Committee discussed about the letter from Department of Telecommunications and Cable
regarding VZ License Expiration Notice (dated May 8, 2015).
●
Christopher provided a brief update that VZ’s license will be expired on 6/1/2018. It was
agreed that the town (Christopher) will reach out to VZ to inform them that town is ready to
begin the “ascertainment process”. Brian will provide Christopher the contact information for
both cable companies (VZ and Comcast).

Committee also discussed some of the potential issues, concerns and tasks for the upcoming
VZ’s license renewal. Committee members agreed to review current license to prepare for the
next steps needed for ascertainment process.
●
It was also agreed that Committee will have the follow up discussion on timeline for this
process later in September. Christopher will set up the next CAC meeting in September and will
inform all members.
Agreed Next Steps
●
Christopher M. to update CAC website
●
Christopher and Brian to reach out to other active members who are absent and inform them
about the new business for the committee ( VZ license renewal )
●
Brian to provide Christopher the contact information for both Comcast and Verizon
representatives
●
Brian to acquire needed financial information (both Comcast’s and VZ’s) for further review and
analysis.
●
Christopher to inform VZ that town is ready to begin the renewal process.
●
Committee members to review current VZ – North Andover Renewal signed in 2008. It was
also suggested to acquire latest VZ’s license agreement with other town.
●
Christopher to schedule the next meeting in Mid. September 2015.
Meeting adjourned approximately 5:55 pm.
